Hi friends,
Today I am sharing an older quilt that I was able to finish up this week - the Dot + Dash quilt, More Paper Version. The Dot + Dash quilt is a fun beginner friendly modern quilt pattern that looks great in a collection of fat quarters or jelly roll and is scrap friendly as well.
I created this version using a jelly roll of More Paper - a line by Zen Chic for Moda Fabrics. The throw size version uses just over half of a jelly roll, and using the "make it scrappy" instructions will help with the odd number of fabrics in a roll.
Sizes available in the pattern are:
- Baby 38" x 50"
- Throw 62" x 74"
- Twin 74" x 86"
- Full - Queen 86" x 86"
- King 98" x 98"

Fabric Information:
I used the line More Paper by Zen Chic, this is a few years old but lucky enough she still continues to add to this line by creating new similar versions, with a new one coming out soon!
The next in her line of Paper inspired fabrics is called: Still More Paper, I will link the upcoming jelly roll here in case you are interested in making a similar quilt.
For the background I used Black Essex Linen - one of my favorites, you can find it here.
For my backing I used a black and white swiss dot fabric by Riley Blake, which can be found here.
Quilting Details:
I decided to keep it classic and use a straight line stitch using a cream thread. Keeping the spacing at 3/4" wide using my walking foot.
Finished Quilt Photos:
If you would like to see the in process of this quilt - I worked on this back in October of 2021 during the Dot + Dashalong!
