Hi friends,
Today I am excited to share another Sweetheart Quilt sample with you, this is the I Heart Ombre Version. I Heart Ombre is another stunning ombre fabric collection from V and Co for Moda Fabrics. I have had the pleasure of sewing with most of Vanessa's ombre lines, each one featuring her signature rainbow palette and this one with metallic hearts!

The Sweetheart Quilt is my newest modern quilt pattern that features large hearts and a minimalist design. There are multiple layouts and sizes and for this one I used the Multi Heart - yardage layout in the small throw size that measures 60" x 60".

Fabric Information:

Multi Hearts - Yardage: for this small throw layout I chose 8 different I Heart Ombre Fabrics and the lighter background fabric.

Fabrics listed below: All Fabrics listed below from the I Heart Ombre Metallic line by V and Co. for Moda Fabrics
Background: I Heart Ombre Metallic - Off White
Binding: I Heart Ombre Metallic - Aubergine
Backing: Moda Bellla Solid

You can also plan out your colors + fabrics using Pre-Quilt! I have all sizes of the Sweetheart quilt in the two color and multi hearts yardage layouts available to mock up.
Quilting:

For my quilting I did a curvy line stitch on my Janome Memory Craft 6700p, spacing it at 1" wide.

I used a white thread that blends in with my background color and looks great across all of the different ombre fabrics.
Quilt Photos:

I love how the ombre fabrics look like they are almost glowing on this quilt! You would think that I used over 20 different fabrics to make this when it's just 8 different ombre colors. There really isn't a lot you have to do for getting this look with the ombre fabrics. Once it was time to work on the layout before piecing, I played around with my squares and placement of the HST to get the right balance. The ombre fabrics are very forgiving so this was much easier than I expected.
