Hi friends,
To kickstart the Sweetheart quilt sample parade I decided to begin with the quilt I used as my cover quilt - the Palette Picks Version.
The Sweetheart quilt is my newest modern quilt pattern that features large hearts and a minimalist design. There are multiple layouts and sizes and for this one I used the Multi Heart - Yardage layout in the small throw that measures 60" x 60".

Fabric Information:
Multi Hearts - Yardage: For this layout I chose 8 different half yards for my hearts and a white print for my background fabric.
I decided I loved the colors in my Palette Picks Bundle that I curated for Robert Kaufman fabrics last year, a fun blend of Kona solids and Essex Linens. For the background I went with a few fat quarters of More paper by Zen Chic for Moda Fabrics.
Fabrics listed below:
- Essex Mango
- Kona Nectarine
- Kona Coral
- Kona Chili
- Essex Hot Pink
- Kona Dragon Fruit

For the Background I chose a few fat quarters of white and light gray prints I had in my stash from the line More Paper and Still More Paper line by Zen Chic for Moda fabrics.

Quilting:
For the quilting I chose a white cotton thread and kept it simple with straight line quilting. I used my guide bar with a spacing of 2" for the first pass over the quilt. Switching to a 1" going the opposite direction I was able to make a rectangle shaped grid along the top of the quilt.

Happy Sewing!
