Hi friends,
Today I am sharing a fun modern version of the Snowflake quilt - the Kona Grayscale Version. This was made back in 2020 for the Kona Calendar for 2021 and has been touring the quilt shops on display. I finally had a chance to take some photos and share with you today!
You can also find this for sale in my shop here.
The Snowflake quilt is my take on a modern and minimal winter quilt. There are two ways to assemble this quilt, you can follow along with the larger block assembly style on the 1-color or 4-color version like this one or stay simple with the square and HST scrappy version.
Links in the pattern include:
- Coloring sheet to help you plan out your design
- Cutting diagrams to help visualize the best way of cutting your fabrics
- Printable cutting tags to help organize your fabric cuts on the larger block one color and four color versions

Since this was bopping around to some quilt shops I thought it might be smart to go ahead and give the quilt it's first wash and crinkle - and I love it!
I took some photos of my freshly washed and crinkled buffalo check snowflake quilt and thought it might be fun to get some images of them together!
Thanks for checking out the blog today, if you would like to make your own Snowflake quilt you can find it as a PDF or Printed pattern. If you would like to bring this quilt home you can find it here in my shop!
Happy Sewing,
Nicole
