Hi friends,
Today I am sharing another sample of my latest quilt pattern Ripple - this time we have a multi color version of the baby quilt layout using Wildflower Wovens by Suzy Quilts for Art Gallery Fabrics. This version of the Ripple quilt was one of my first test quilts, before I made the final size layout for the baby size, so it's just a bit smaller than the version in the pattern. It was my first time using Suzy's new woven line for AGF and I loved how easy it was to use for quilting!

Quilt Sizes:
- Baby 41" x 48"
- Throw 65" x 72"
- Bed 90" x 96"

Layout + Fabrics:

Ripple is a yardage friendly quilt pattern meaning that it's not super pre-cut friendly (you could definitely make this using Fat Quarters - the cuts in the pattern will allow for this - I do not have full instructions for this included). This particular quilt uses the multi color layout, and for the fabrics I chose 7 of the wildflower wovens in a combo of colors that I thought had a nice flow. The washi print I had on hand ended up having all of the same colors as the wovens I chose to use and I thought it would add a bit of fun to the quilt.

Fabrics used: Wildflower Wovens by Suzy Quilts for Art Gallery Fabrics
- A - Slub in Prickly Pear
- B - Slub in Golden Hour
- C - Slub in Wild Rose
- D - Slub in Rainstorm
- E - Dots in Sweet Pea
- F - Diamonds in Poinsettia
- G - Slub Speckled in Cloud
Backing: Washi plus in natural by Rashida Coleman for Ruby Star Society
Binding: a cream linen blend cotton I had in my stash - similar to the slub speckled in cloud

Quilting:

For the quilting I decided since it's a smaller quilt and the wovens have such a lovely texture it would be fun to hand quilt it! I used a 1.5" acrylic ruler as my guide and marked lines using my herra marker. I chose a cream 12wt aurifil thread and did a simple hand quilting line across the entire quilt spaced every 1.5".

Since I used hand quilting on the main part of the quilt I thought a big stitch binding would be a perfect fit!
