Hi friends,
Today I have opened up the Holiday Shop over here at Modern Handcraft. There are an assortment of ornaments and handmade quilted stockings!

Felt Christmas Bulb Ornaments
I brought back the wool felt ornaments that I sold a few years ago. I decided to go ahead and finish up the wool felt I had in stock and make one last big batch before I retired my ornament making. These have gotten a little tedious, but still fun to make. I get so many fun messages from several of you around the holidays when you decorate with ornaments I have sold in the past!
I like to add these to my small trees around the house and also to my larger tree. The colors are so much fun and are great for not only decorating trees - adding to packages and as a hostess gift around the holidays!
The felt ornaments are made out of a blend of 20-35% merino wool with the the remainder viscose make it resistant to pilling and pulling. I hand cut the shapes and use a clear monofilament thread to stitch up the bulb shape before stuffing with a polyfil fiber. The hanging loop is a fun black and white butchers twine.
They measure from ornament top to bottom, slightly over 4".
This year I have a total of 48 different colors to choose from!
Handmade Quilted Patchwork Stockings
I have a total of 20 handmade stockings to share this year.
I went with a larger size template so these have a generous amount of space and have the same quilted patchwork on both sides - so you can hang either direction.
The stockings measure 19" from the top to the toe, 8.5" wide along the main body of the stocking and 13" wide from the heel to the toe.
The inside is lined with a coordinating cotton fabric.
I had so much fun pulling fun holiday and colorful fabrics for these - I used all quality quilting cottons and cotton batting.
Thanks for checking out the blog today - I will also be introducing some new quilts for sale this next week including some fun holiday quilts!
Happy Sewing,
Nicole
