Hi friends,
Today I am sharing another Spring quilt - the Flower Shop Quilt Brights + Text version! I wasn't the most creative with naming this one, but we are at least getting the most important details down - the bright fun colors and the text print shadow behind each flower shop flower. If you end up falling in love with this quilt you can find it for sale here in my shop!

Flower Shop is my big block floral pattern composed of three different block styles. Fun as a mini quilt, throw or a larger bed sized quilt - the large blocks really stand out!

This particular quilt is the throw size, coming in at a large 73" x 73" square.
Sizes available in this pattern are:
- Mini 24" x 24"
- Baby 48.5" x 48.5"
- Throw 73" x 73"
- Twin 73" x 97"
- Full/Queen 98" x 97"

Fabric Information:

I started this quilt so long ago that I do not have the official names or brands of the solids used - I think it was one of those grab from the solid scrap bin situations. But I can report that the text print used as the shadow part / background behind the flowers is Text by Alison Glass - I believe from one of her Sunprint lines.

As for my backing - this was a target 100% cotton sheet I found this last year on sale and have been holding onto it for the perfect project! I love how the pinks, greens and yellows really do blend nicely with the florals on the front of the quilt!

Quilting Information:

I quilted this using my Janome 6700p and the curvy stitch I love to use so much! I spaced these out at around 1.5" with my guide bar and used a white thread.

I love the texture this stitch gives, and feels just a bit fancier than a straight line.

Finished Quilt:

Thanks for checking out the blog today! If you would like to make your own Flower Shop quilt you can find the PDF and Printed version or if you would like to skip a few steps and take this one home, you can find it here in my shop!
Happy Sewing,
Nicole
