Hi friends,
Today I am sharing a bit of a long work in progress, the Dot + Dash - Spooky 'n Sweet Version!
The Dot + Dash quilt is one of my favorites to show off a line of fabric that has a nice color flow and has large enough pieces to show off cute illustrations. The Spooky 'n Sweet fabric line was the first in the Spooky series by Art Gallery fabrics, and now there are two additional lines: Spooky 'n Sweeter and Sweet 'n Spookier. The fabric has a storyline of this adorable witch named Peppermint and the colors stay consistent throughout the years releases so they can all be used together or mixed and matched.
The Dot + Dash quilt is a fun and easy beginner quilt pattern. The layout let's you show off a fabric line or your favorite colorway .You can also make it a scrappy quilt using the "Make it scrappy" directions in the pattern.
Sizes available in the pattern are:
- Baby 38" x 50"
- Throw 62" x 74" (this is the size of the quilt I am sharing today)
- Twin 74" x 86"
- Full / Queen 86" x 86"
- King 98" x 98"

Quilting details
For this quilt I decided to do a vertical straight line stitch to go along with the layout of the dots and dashes on the quilt.
I love the look of a charcoal thread against the black essex fabric, it really melts into the fabric and looks great against the darker black backing fabric.
I kept my guide bar on my walking foot spaced at 3/4" wide.

My son Grey's favorite season is fall so he has claimed this quilt for his very own. Going to throw it in the wash and dry for a cozy crinkle - will share some pics over on Instagram once it's all set to go!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Happy sewing,
