Hi friends!

I am so excited to share with you today my finished Beads quilt from the Beads Sew Along! We worked on the Beads quilt pattern for eight weeks starting at the end of March and it's so fun to see all of the finished quilts popping up.

The Beads quilt was inspired by a favorite activity between my son Grey and I, making beaded friendship bracelets. This is a fun, modern quilt pattern for advanced beginner to intermediate quilters, or those who enjoy sewing curves.

The pattern is fat quarter and fat eighth friendly, or scrappy for a really fun look!

Darlings 2 fabric information

I had such a fun time working on this quilt during the sew along! Planning what fabrics to use was one of the best parts. Fabrics I chose for this particular quilt are from one of Ruby Star Society's newest lines Darlings 2. I chose the peach / pink / magenta shades and kept them in an ombre order for the flow of the quilt.

Quilting Details

My friend Heather Alexander of HAndmade Longarm quilting quilted my finished quilt for me and I just LOVE how it turned out. I sent Heather the quilt top and backing and took her advice on going with a lighter pink thread and offered me so many different patterns to choose from.

We decided that the design " A new day daisy " was perfect, matching the floral patterns in some of the fabrics.

The texture is just so great and I am so pleased with the quilting and how fast she was able to finish it up!

Doesn't the pink thread just look so lovely! I usually go towards white but love the idea of adding a bit of fun with a colored thread.

Darlings 2 Quilt Images

I wanted to capture some images of the finished quilt in areas of the house it would be used - in the living room on the couch, hanging up on my quilt ladder and on a bed. This is the throw sized quilt, but it works well draped across my full size guest bed.
