Hi friends,
The past couple of weeks I have been hard at work finishing up the first of a series of new quilt patterns that focus on solid fabrics. When RJR Fabrics asked if I would like to take part in the What Shade Are You blog hop I jumped at the chance -
I decided to make a version of my Range quilt (a pattern I am hoping to finish by the end of May) but in a sunset color range.
The fabrics that they sent me were just a delight to work with! This was my first go with Cotton Supreme solids and they did not disappoint. They were the perfect thickness, super soft and the colors were very saturated and bright - my favorite!

The names sound pretty too don't they?
After moving to Indianapolis this year I have been on the hunt for great quilt photo locations. Since it was a pretty day and I wanted to catch some of the beautiful purple blossom trees I have been seeing around town we headed out for a drive. We found this amazing location not far from where we live that actually had several people taking family photos, it was a magical photo taking spot - we hit the jackpot!
I love how the purple in the trees really pop next to the quilt!
Don't you just love the quilting? This was my first go round with a long arm quilter and I just love the girl that is my new found treasure! Her name is Sarah Wilson and she owns a fantastic studio / fabric shop in Springfield, MO called Crinklelove - Isn't that name cute?
I have two more quilts in the lineup over there and I can't wait to see what they look like with different quilting patterns. It was so crazy sending a quilt top off and it coming back quilted and yummy - I am definitely hooked!
I had a little help from my best helper today as well!
The Range quilt is now available - if you would like to make one yourself you can find the PDF here.
Thanks for stopping by today friends!
