Hi friends,
Today I am sharing another quilt created using my Modern Handcraft Palette Picks bundle for Robert Kaufman! This Flower Shop quilt was a fun way to use a few of the Kona solids and Essex linens with the two stripe patterns for a bit of fun.
Flower Shop is my big block floral pattern composed of three different block styles. Fun as a mini quilt, throw, or a larger bed sized quilt - the large blocks really stand out!
This particular quilt is the baby size that finishes up at 48.5" x 48.5" square.
Sizes available in this pattern are:
- Mini 24" x 24"
- Baby 48.5" x 48.5"
- Throw 73" x 73"
- Twin 73" x 97"
- Full / Queen 98" x 97"

Fabric Information:
You can find my palette picks bundle here:
Modern Handcraft Palette Picks Fat Quarter Bundle
For this particular quilt - I used fat quarters for the petals, shadow and centers and then half yards for the leaves, it takes a bit more than a fat quarter for the amount needed since I only used two fabrics for this.
Background:
Petals:
- Dragon Fruit
- Gumdrop
- Essex Mango
- Chili
Shadow:
- Essex Hot Pink
- Geranium
- Peach
- Nectarine
Centers:
- Essex YD Curry
Leaves:
- Essex YD Classic small stripe black
- Essex YD Classic large stripe black
Quilting Information:
For this quilt I kept it pretty simple and did straight line quilting, spaced 1" in a grid pattern. Simple yes, but it really does create the best texture and look right?
I chose a medium gray thread to really blend in with the black essex background.
