Hi friends,
I had the fun opportunity to work with Missouri Star Quilt Company this last month in recreating one of their fantastic tutorials - the Chopped Block Quilt.
The idea for the quilt came from some art work I purchased last year for my son Grey's new "big boy" room. A fun collection of screen printed star wars prints by artist Ty Mattson that are super modern and feature fantastic colors. When looking to make something for his room I was running into his quilt having too much black fabric, so this tutorial really helped me out by letting me add the black star wars fabric I wanted to use along with a pop of bright blue from one of his art prints and loads of white which I adore in most of my quilts.
I kept the size a little smaller since his twin sized bunk bed is a bit smaller in size than a traditional twin bed.
Be sure to stop by to see the finished project, my tips and tricks for the quilt and the full free tutorial by Jenny and the MSQC gang!
