Hi friends,
Today on the blog I am sharing another Beads quilt sample I made and quilted for the Beads pattern release!
This was such a fun and quick make, and only takes 5 fat quarters and some background fabric! The Pink Sugar Baby Version is a Baby sized Beads quilt featuring the new Sugar line by Ruby Star Society.

Great news - the printer should be sending us the Beads Printed Pattern any day now, I will update you once those have arrived!
Pink Sugar Version - Fabric Information
For this quilt I knew I wanted something a bit softer than a regular straight line quilting like I did on the previous Beads samples. So I turned to my favorite curvy line trick using my Janome 6700p.
This always looks way more impressive and difficult to do than it really is, I use the wavy line (on my machine it is stitch number 8), move the width to the largest setting of 9 and stitch length a 3. I place my guide bar at 3/5" or 1" and start sewing like I would with my walking foot like I would any regular quilting stitch. The guide bar just follows along the top curves of the previous line.
