I usually share my progress over on Instagram but thought some of you who just visit the blog might like to see what I have been working on this week!
For the most part I have been prepping for my Quiltcon class that is at the end of the month. How is it so soon? Will I be ready? I have to teach how many people? These are all thoughts I have been having, the nervous Nellie I am. I hope that I can get past my fear of public speaking and have a fun time.
So in between finishing up the award ribbons for this years Quiltcon, my class prep and another fun thing (I will share with you soon) I started a new quilt project!
My friends over at Me + You, a division of Hoffman Fabrics have a line of modern batiks called Indah Batiks. They keep adding designs and colors every year and this new batch for 2017 is just so beautiful! They were kind enough to send me over a batch to play with and I decided to take a few of the colors and finish a quilt pattern I have been thinking of for a while.
Here is a photo of the quilt top in the throw size, I just need to figure fabric amounts and what sizes I would like to include in the pattern and get a PDF pattern set up. This one is fun, its super fast (this was sewn up in a day), and is the perfect beginners pattern. It’s also fantastic for the experienced quilter that loves a simple and clean design.
Hope everyone has a great week, Grey and I are planning an epic snowball fight if it snows enough in Indiana today 🙂
