Quilt Market – Fall 2014 // Carolyn Friedlander

Quilt Market – Fall 2014 // Carolyn Friedlander

Hi friends, continuing my Fall Quilt Market 2014 recap with some highly anticipated pictures from one of my favorites – Carolyn Friedlander. This was a booth I could live in…seriously, it was that good. As always I love how she uses pins and tape to show off her collection by securing little strips of fabric to the walls. If you were lucky enough to be around the booth for the turning of the cushions…it was quite a treat (she had another pattern on the opposite side!). I hope you enjoy my photos of Carolyn’s booth, it was a joy to see the new collection for Robert Kaufman – Doe in person. Enjoy!

This was the second booth that I was waiting to see more of. It’s almost beyond what I can fathom that such an over the top, jaw-dropping booth was made out of such an understated fabric collection. There’s only one word for that… brillant!

  2. Holy wow – this is amazing. Such attention to detail and such a stronger sense of knowing who she is. Thanks so much for sharing this – it’s fabulous.

  1. […] Also, I have a post covering Carolyn Friedlanders new line for Robert Kaufman – Doe over here! […]

  2. […] Related to swatches and solids, I thought I’d also highlight another section of my booth, which was my smaller swatch wall. One of the first things that I did with Doe was to play around with how the different prints, coordinating solids, and extra crosshatch colors would play together. Anytime that I had a swatch set that I liked, I’d pin it up on my studio wall as a reminder for later. I wanted to bring this element into the booth, and so I had some extra swatches at play on my small side wall. (Big thanks to Nicole at Modern Handcraft for letting me use some of the great pics that she took in my booth! To check out her Market recap of my booth or to see any of her other beautiful posts, visit here.) […]

I would love to hear from you, let's chat!
