It’s finally week 1 of the Countdown to Christmas Quilt-Along. I am so so excited to be participating in this quilt-along hosted by Janice of Better off Thread and Melissa of Melia Mae Quilting! We are all sewing up Oh Fransson’s Advent Calendar, which you may find here. This quilt-along is for everyone, so grab some holiday fabrics and join in on the fun!
This weeks post is all about choosing fabrics and fabric requirements. As many of you know I love all things black and white so I am incorporating my favorites into my Advent Calendar…plus I am using fabric I already have in my stash
Black White and Christmas all over!
This cute owl fabric is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby and is from the Brother Sister Design Studio. Love the little santa owl….he’s my favorite! Maybe he will have to make an appearance on my Christmas eve pocket.
This black and white stripe fabric is part of the Celebrate Seuss Collection by Robert Kaufman.
I bought this red, white and green Christmas fabric years ago at my local Hancock’s Fabric and cannot for the life of me figure out what it is….I really think I should start keeping a fabric journal in case I ever want to find more.
This red and white fabric was also a purchase from Hancock’s fabric but there is not a description on the selvedge. I have a bunch of it….and who doesn’t love an awesome text print!
These are some fun Christmas prints that I pulled from a charm pack I have been saving…my son ripped off the label so I again, am clueless on the fabric name. Anyone out there have an amazing knowledge for Christmas fabrics that can help a girl out?
Looking forward to getting these all cut up and ready to assemble. The next post I will have on this quilt-along will be on September 16th. That is when the topic will be cutting and layout variations. See you then!
Thanks for stopping by!
